Explorer Cruises Marine Science Project (ECMSP) MARINE EDUCATION CENTER - Fall 2009
ECMSP is a Marine Education Non-profit Company offering a variety of dynamic, interactive, hands on marine education programs. Our Marine Education Center is located at Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum in the heart of Charleston Harbor's estuarine environment. Over 50,000 students participated in marine & history programs offered at Patriots Point in 2007. On August, 1, 2009, construction was started on the new Marine Education Center, being built on board the USS Aircraft Carrier Yorktown. The new center will include a multimedia classroom and laboratory, large enough to accommodate classes up to 100 students. The new center will have the latest media technology that will allow us to video broadcast our programs to students throughout the world. The video broadcasts will include some of the best views of Charleston Harbor and our research sites.
