Patriots Point Science & History Program 

(The One Stop Field Trip) 

Since August of 2004, over 100,000 students have participated in the History & Science program offered by Charleston Explorers and Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum. All of our programs are based on the South Carolina educational standards for History, Science, Math and English., . All research conducted by the students in submitted by the students to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources website as a post visit activity.  Each program's curriculum can be adjusted to the groups needs. 

 

 

Barrier Island Exploration - Morris Island

The Vessel is back and now operated by Low Country Charters.

 

Mobile Classroom Out Reach Program  

We are once again proud to  bring the wonders of the marine environment to your class room. For groups of 20-30 students, we offer an one hour (1hr) multi- media hands on interactive standards based  investigative program for students from K-12. Our traveling projector microscopes, allow the students a beyond the naked eye view of the oyster research work being conducted at Patriots Point.  Pre-visit activity sheets focus on oyster habitat identification and life cycle. Price - $2.per student. (Grant Subsidies available for qualifying programs)
